Today, increasing environmental problems and waste of resources have caused the concept of sustainability to gain importance in every field. The zero waste approach, which was developed to prevent food waste and use resources more efficiently, has also started to be applied in kitchens. In this context, smart kitchen technologies, which are a product of technological developments, play an important role in achieving zero waste targets. This study aims to examine the effect of smart kitchen technologies on zero waste practices in a theoretical framework. In this research based on the literature review; The potential of technologies such as smart refrigerators, sensor cooking devices, artificial intelligence-supported software and waste analysis systems to reduce food waste, optimize resource use and support sustainable kitchen management is discussed. As a result of the study, it was emphasized that these technologies are effective tools in achieving sustainability goals and should be disseminated.
